seeing a kindred

~ this is my most sweet grandmother ~

she is kind.

loves black coffee.

knows swedish.

sings "you are my sunshine".

has the most beautiful fingers and hands.

always looks so good.

knows the importance of a great scarf.

and is slowing in the beginning stages of alzheimers.

we are surprising her for her 75th birthday in just a couple of days, and i cannot wait.  it is always so good to hug her, and hold her, and breathe her in.  i just can't let her go.  i know she is slipping in a steady fashion from this earth, and i just can't get enough of her.  the hugs are longer, stronger, and end in a teary mess.  but, oh!  she is worth every bit of emotion!!

wish me traveling mercies, and memories that will last a life time.  also, a strength that will surpass my breaking heart for a beautiful lady.
