jay is 30.

and my dad showed him this: ( yes the skating is cheesy, yes the video is from the late 70's or early 80's, but the words are pretty fitting. )

and then i wrote a plea to jesus.  and it went like this:

protect him, fiercely,

show him the right path for this family,

give him some friends, that end up walking through life with him,

bless his hard work,

keep his body able,

his mind sharp,

and his soul filled with you.

help him find some good hobbies that keep him young,

let him feel my respect in all the choices he makes,

keep his life light,

give him guidance for being a dad to three little ladies, that will need him so much more in the coming years then now.

strengthen him when he needs it, and soften him too.

give him the opportunities to let down and cry a little more, he has had so much hurt in his 30 years.

protect him from the thoughts of this world, i don't know how he is able to be a good man and not notice some criticism from the outside, let him be oblivious to those things.

and thank you.  for him.  my life has not been the same since we married.  he has helped form me.  he has helped showed me what real love looks like.   he has been patient, and only spoken kind things to me.  he has a gentle spirit with me, and lavishes kisses and hugs, even when i am so undeserving.  and my gratitude for this man is huge, i can't even explain it all.  and i know our journey together has just started, so, all of me, is begging....please take care of him !

it was 8:00 PM, the boy needed to sleep!
